Reviews, Reviewing And Strange Horizons

My mixed review of norilana's The Clock-King and the Queen of the Hourglass is now up at Strange Horizons.

It is my second review for SH and amusingly coalescent - their reviews editor - has written reviews of both those books for Vector. He has also had strongly critical responses to two reviews he has published: one by Dan Hartland and one by Ian McHugh. In the first case I think the criticism is misguided. In the second case it is just fucking stupid (not to mention dishonest.) Have a look and see what you think.

Finally, some thoughts on messageboards and dissent, again inspired by Strange Horizons, with additonal commentary here.
